I received an email from a Dan Agosto yesterday and he happened across my blog and wanted to see if we were interested in a product he sells, that would provide solar heating. I don't think we are interested in it at this point, but I thought I would post a link to his site in case someone else was:

Chris, I keep getting an error when I try to post a comment to your last blog entry. Anyway, I wanted to point out that the bailout has incentives for solar heat: http://www.energystar.gov/index.cfm?c=products.pr_tax_credits
Hey Chris,
Is it feasible today to be completely 'unplugged' and provide all your energy? I've been curious about this lately.
How awesome would it be to not be dependent on anyone for your energy!
I guess your options would be solar or geo-thermal?
Well, I'm watching this video right now called "Survivorman - Off The Grid." It's about this very thing. Should be interesting:

Of course you "COULD" live off the grid. You would have to cut back on many things... You could generate enough power off solar and wind to power a laptop or something like that, but I wouldn't think you would power washer/dryer, electric appliances, ect... I don't really know though.
Looking for the solar heating system for homes then read this blog and get the most important news for it...
